Traffic School Benefits
The most important aspects of completing a traffic school course are keeping the points from being assessed on your license and withholding the adjudication from your record, which means your insurance cannot go up unless you were at fault in a crash.
Your Florida License
In the State of Florida, driving is considered a privilege that must be earned. You can lose your driving privileges for a number of infractions and matters as varied as failure to pay child support, addiction to drugs or alcohol, failure to pay traffic violation fines, and even racing on the highway.
County Matters
Regardless of where you live, you must follow the rules and laws of the county where the citation was received. Select the county from the list above.

TRAFFIC SCHOOL ELECTION

If you receive a ticket for a non-criminal moving violation, and you do not hold a commercial driver license, you may elect to attend a basic driver improvement course in lieu of points on your driving record. In some cases, you may choose to attend a basic driver improvement course to receive insurance discounts. You may only make this election once every 12 months and no more than five elections in a lifetime.
